Meanwhile, due to the release of record water from Haryana, there is a threat of flood in Delhi. However, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has assured that preparations have already been made to deal with the situation and flood water will not reach the urban areas. It is being said that by Tuesday evening the water level of Yamuna will cross the danger mark.

Impact on agriculture in Punjab

Heavy rainfall continues in Rajasthan. Flood-like situation has arisen in the Hanumangarh district. Government offices and houses are flooded. The disaster management team rescued stranded people in Makassar. A woman died due to the collapse of a kutcha house in Bikaner. The Meteorological Department has predicted active monsoon and heavy rainfall in the first week of September.

Many trains on the Jammu route have been canceled

Due to rain and floods, it has been decided to cancel Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express, Shri Shakti Express, and Jammu Rajdhani for the entire month of September. Railway officials say that the railway track between Kathua and Madhopur has been damaged a lot. This has disrupted the movement of trains. Work is going on to repair it.

The Army's Western Command is actively involved in relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas in Jammu, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. More than 5,000 lives have been saved, and more than 21 tonnes of relief material has been delivered to the needy during this operation. 20 aircraft, including Advanced Light Helicopters, Mi-17, and Chinooks, have been involved in the rescue operation, which has been going on since August 16.
