UP: Gangster Salim murdered in a crowded market... Chased with weapons for three kilometers, killed near a police post

Gangster Saleem Murder:  Gangster Saleem alias Deewana alias Mowgli (45) was shot dead in public by two bike-borne accused near the Hashimpura police post in the Civil Lines police station area of Meerut on Wednesday evening.

Meerut Crime News:  The murder of gangster Salim alias Deewana alias Mowgli in Meerut, UP has exposed the security system as well. The accused chased Salim with weapons for almost three kilometers. The accused committed the crime in front of the police post in Civil Line market and managed to escape brandishing their weapons. After this incident, questions are being raised on the security system and working style of the police in the city.

If the family members are to be believed, property dealer Salim alias Deewana was receiving threats for a long time, but he did not know that the accused could kill him. On Wednesday, there was a date in an old attempt to murder case. Salim had gone to the court on Wednesday for the date.

A deed also had to be written. On Wednesday evening around 5:30 pm, he left for home from the court on his bike. Sajid, a resident of Shalimar Garden, Lisadi Gate, had also gone to the court with him. He was on his bike. Both the criminals were also following him from the court. When Salim reached near Hashimpura police post ahead of Poorva Sheikhlal Mosque under Civil Lines police station area, the bike riding criminals shot Salim dead.

People made noise but even then the police did not come out.

During this time people also made noise but the police did not come out of the police post. After some time the police came out and the police station police also reached. After this the forensic team was called and investigation was done. People were angry about this attitude of the police. For security reasons, apart from Civil Lines, CO Civil Lines Abhishek Tiwari called the force of other police stations including Kotwali, Lisadi Gate, Nauchandi etc. to the spot.

He was sent to jail in a gangster case.

SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said that a gangster case was registered against the deceased in Nauchandi police station in the year 2019. Salim did not appear on the date several times in this case. Due to this, the court had issued non-bailable warrants. A few days ago, the police arrested Salim. Salim was released on bail from jail on Saturday. Apart from his wife, he has a 13-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son in the family.

Salim has more than 12 cases registered against

him. Salim has more than 12 cases of serious crimes registered against him in various police stations of the city. Cases of Gangster, Goonda Act, attempt to murder, 7 Criminal Law Act, attack on police, Arms Act, NDPS Act etc. are registered against him in Lisadi Gate, Civil Line, Brahmapuri, Nauchandi, Medical College Police Station.

CCTV footage seized, three teams deployed

Police has seized all the CCTV footage from the area around the crime scene to the court and the road. Police is trying to reach the killers through these footage. SSP Dr. Vipin Tada said that on the complaint of the deceased's brother Usman, a named case of murder has been registered against five people.

It is being said that the murder was due to enmity. Late night, on the complaint of the deceased's brother Usman, the Civil Line Police registered a case of murder against five accused. The reason for the murder was stated to be property and enmity. Three police teams have been deployed under the direction of SP City to solve the murder case.

The city is shaken by the murders, the demand for police commissionerate

is rising. The graph of murder incidents in the city is constantly increasing. After committing murder in public in front of the police station, the accused are succeeding in running away. Three murders have taken place in three days. Due to this, once again the demand for police commissionerate has started rising in Meerut.

On 26th July, cloth merchant Abrar was shot dead in Radhna Wali Gali in Lisadi Gate police station area. He was murdered openly.

On 27th July, a young man was beaten to death in Shaukeen Garden in Summer Garden Chowki area in Lisadi Gate police station area. The deceased has not been identified yet.

On 29th July, Hrithik, the young son of a retired home guard in Partapur police station area, was killed by a neighbouring youth by cutting his neck with an axe.

Gangster shot dead near Hashimpura police station

On Wednesday evening, two bike-borne accused shot dead gangster Salim alias Deewana alias Mogli (45) in broad daylight near Hashimpura police station in Civil Lines police station area of Meerut. Police is searching for the accused and is awaiting the written complaint.

Salim alias Deewana alias Mogli was released from jail on Saturday.

SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said that according to the police, Salim alias Deewana alias Mogli, a resident of Pahelwan Nagar of Lohianagar police station area, also used to do property dealing. He was released from jail on bail on Saturday.

On Wednesday he had gone to the court for the hearing of a murderous assault case and to get a land deed registered. On Wednesday evening around 5:30 pm he was returning home from the court on a bike along with his acquaintance Sajid, a resident of Shalimar Garden.

Meanwhile, the accused riding a bike shot Salim from behind near Hashimpura police post ahead of Purva Sheikhlal Mosque in Civil Lines police station area. The bullet hit Salim's back and passed through his chest. Salim fell down along with his bike and died.
