Ranveer Singh, one of Bollywood’s most energetic and unconventional stars, has completed 15 years in the film industry. Known as much for his eccentric personality as for his powerful acting, Ranveer’s journey to superstardom has been full of unique stories. One such anecdote from his school days reveals how his love for films once landed him in serious trouble.
Even before becoming an actor, Ranveer was deeply passionate about movies and music. During his school years, he carried a Walkman everywhere with him and was especially obsessed with Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora’s hit song Chaiya Chaiya. Once, while listening to the track in class, he was caught red-handed by school authorities.
The school took strict action and suspended him for breaking the rules. But Ranveer, in his typical carefree style, reportedly said at the time: “Expel me from the class, but don’t touch my Walkman!” His attachment to music and cinema was so strong that even disciplinary action couldn’t lessen his enthusiasm.
On the professional front, Ranveer Singh is currently gearing up for his next big release Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. The film also stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, and is scheduled to hit theatres on December 5.
