The victim, a resident of the Sakhardara area of ​​Nagpur, supports her family through manual labor. On October 15, 2025, her husband suddenly left without informing her. After months of searching for the police and relatives, and still without any trace of her husband, the woman was left mentally devastated. During this time of helplessness, she met a fraud named Tahir Rashid Beg.

Exploitation done under the guise of mantra

The accused, Tahir, claimed to be a master of the occult. He claimed that he could use his powers to bring back the woman’s husband within a few days. The woman, eager to get her husband back, fell into his trap. It is alleged that Tahir, under the guise of occult practices, intimidated the woman and, taking advantage of her helplessness, raped her. When the woman realized that she would not get her husband back and was only being physically exploited, she mustered courage and approached the police.

Police action and arrest

Sakhardara police immediately registered a case, recognizing the seriousness of the matter. A team led by police officer Pramod Pore laid a siege and arrested the accused, Tahir Rashid Beg, from the Dabbipura area of ​​Anjangaon. Police have registered a case against the accused under various sections of rape and fraud. Police are also investigating whether this fraudster has previously victimized any other women.
