YouTuber disguised himself as a beggar, then earned thousands of rupees in just 8 hours, you'll be stunned to know
A YouTuber experimented with posing as a beggar at the Kanwar Mela in Haridwar, asking for money from devotees. A video of this has been shared on the social media platform X and has gone viral. The YouTuber's name is Purushottam Vashishtha.
Vashishtha changed his entire appearance, wore torn clothes, made his face a little dirty and carried a small bowl for begging.
The people seen in the video initially said that they expected him to earn only Rs 1000 or Rs 2000, but the earnings were much more than they expected.
The experiment wasn't easy at first, as he only received 130 rupees in the first few hours, and some devotees refused to give anything, saying, "I told you I don't have it." But not everyone was like that; some were kind enough to give Vashishtha some money.
Vashisht also wore a QR code around his neck, as people don't carry cash everywhere these days and prefer to make payments online. He earned around 800 rupees in four hours, and by the end of the eight-hour experiment, he had collected around 4,000 rupees.
The caption of the post read, "A YouTuber, Purushottam Vashisht, became a beggar for 8 hours at the Kanwar Mela in Haridwar in 2026. He dressed like a beggar, hung a UPI QR code around his neck, and kept asking for money from devotees. Some people treated him badly, while others treated him well. But the surprising thing is that he collected ₹4,000 in just 8 hours. That's ₹500/hour. If someone does this for 12-13 hours, they can earn ₹8,000-₹10,000/day. This is potentially ₹2.4-₹3 lakh/month."
