After the free trade agreement between India and Britain, PM Modi met King Charles III at his residence. During this time, many issues ranging from Ayurveda, Yoga, to Climate Change and the Commonwealth were discussed between the two.

PM Modi met King Charles III a few hours after signing the free trade agreement between India and Britain. During this, many issues ranging from Ayurveda, Yoga, to Climate Change and the Commonwealth were discussed between the two. After this, PM Modi left the UK on Thursday night. Now he will stay in the Maldives till 26 July. 

'A Tree for Mother' with King Charles

This meeting between PM Modi and King Charles took place on Thursday at his summer residence, Sandringham Estate. During this, PM Modi presented a sapling of Davidia Involucrata 'Sonoma' to King Charles under the 'One Tree in the Name of Mother' initiative. He also thanked the King for being a part of this campaign. This sapling will be planted in Sandringham Estate itself.

Discussion on Ayurveda, Yoga with the King

PM Modi, who arrived on an official visit to the UK, expressed happiness over the improvement in the health of King Charles and discussed spreading the benefits of Ayurveda and Yoga to the people of the whole world. There was also a discussion on bilateral relations between the two. He believed that the India-UK trade agreement would prove to be a new milestone in the partnership between the two countries. 

King Charles praised India

During this, King Charles praised India's achievements in renewable energy and sustainable development. Both also discussed ways to work together on climate change and sustainability. They also considered how India and the UK can work together for the Commonwealth. 

'Chai pe Charcha' with British PM

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had a 'Chai Pe Charcha' with British PM Keir Starmer. The PM himself posted pictures of this on social media and wrote that he felt the warmth in relations while having 'Chai Pe Charcha' with PM Starmer at Checkers. Both leaders also visited an exhibition showcasing the economic relations between India and UK at Checkers.

Demanded the extradition of economic fugitives

Earlier, after meeting the British PM, Prime Minister Modi said that our agencies will continue to work together in close coordination and cooperation in the matter of the extradition of economic offenders. India has sought the extradition of several fugitive economic offenders from Britain. 

India has been raising the issue of the extradition of fugitive criminals like Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Lalit Modi. Later, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri told the press conference that Prime Minister Modi sought cooperation from Britain to bring economic offenders and fugitives to justice.
