Ather Energy has expanded its electric scooter portfolio with the launch of the new Ather Konarc in India. The scooter was unveiled at the company's fourth annual Community Day and marks the debut of Ather's new EL platform, developed specifically for everyday urban riding.
The Konarc promises a range of up to 161 km on a single charge and comes with features such as AutoHold, Park Assist and the company's Magic Key system.
The scooter will initially be available in S and Z variants, although Ather has announced prices only for the S-series models.
Ather Konarc Price in India
The Konarc S series is available in three battery and range configurations:

Ather also plans to introduce a 200 km-range version of the Konarc in the future. The Z series will initially be offered with 125 km and 161 km range options, although their prices have not yet been announced.
When Will the Konarc Be Available?
According to Ather's announced rollout plan, deliveries of the S 125 and S 161 are expected to begin in September.
The S 100 is planned for the first quarter of 2027, while the 200 km-range S variant is expected in the third quarter of 2027. The Z series is planned for launch in the second quarter of 2027.
Up to 161 km Range
The Konarc is the first Ather scooter based on the company's new EL platform. Ather says the platform has been developed using approximately 2.6 million kilometres of field data.
The three S-series variants get different battery capacities:

The S 100 produces 4kW of peak power, while the S 125 and S 161 produce 4.7kW.
AutoHold, Park Assist and Magic Key
Ather has equipped the Konarc with several features aimed at making everyday riding more convenient.
The Park Assist Reverse feature uses the scooter's motor to help riders move the scooter backwards, which can be particularly useful in tight parking spaces.
AutoHold helps keep the scooter stationary after coming to a stop, reducing the need to continuously hold the brake.
The scooter also gets Ather's Magic Key feature, which allows users to open the boot through the Ather smartphone app.
On the Konarc Z 161, Magic Key works alongside AutoPop, which can automatically open the boot.
Advanced Braking on the Z Variant
The Konarc Z is also expected to get AEBS (Advanced Electronic Braking System).
According to Ather, the system uses electronic control to improve braking performance, potentially reduce stopping distance and reduce the likelihood of rear-wheel lock-up during hard braking.
The top variant also gets Vehicle FallSafe, while the S 125 and S 161 are equipped with AirWalk.
Google Maps and WhatsApp on the Dashboard
The Konarc Z is designed to offer more connected features as well.
Its dashboard will support Google Maps and WhatsApp, while cricket scores can also be viewed when the scooter is stationary.
