It was a memorable day for thousands of school children in Madhya Pradesh as Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav distributed scooties to 7,832 students who excelled in the Class 12 board examinations.

Along with this, the CM also provided:

• ₹61.12 crore to over 20 lakh girls under the Sanitation-Hygiene Scheme

• ₹7 crore to more than 20,000 girls under the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Scheme

Adding to the joy of the event, CM Yadav even enjoyed a scooty ride, sitting behind one of the girl students. He also advised students to ride safely, obtain driving licenses, and ensure proper number plates. The children, thrilled with their new scooties, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister.

Creating a Self-Reliant Future

Addressing the gathering, CM Yadav highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards becoming self-reliant. He said students across the state are being empowered through initiatives like distribution of scooties, laptops, bicycles, and study material.

“This year, toppers of Class 12 have been awarded scooties through the School Education Department. India’s time has come — the whole world now looks towards us with hope,” he said.

He also praised the achievements of Indian scientists in space research and added that PM Modi has always stood firmly with them.

Transformation in Education & Infrastructure

CM Yadav recalled the poor state of government schools in the past, claiming that basic facilities were lacking under previous governments. He pointed out:

• Establishment of Sandipani Schools in every city

• Expansion of irrigation area to 52 lakh hectares

• Launch of the Ken-Betwa Link Project, the world’s first river-linking campaign

He criticized the Congress, saying that while nations like Israel and Japan advanced rapidly after independence, Congress governments failed to strengthen education in India.

“Be a Giver, Not Just a Job Seeker”

CM Yadav urged students to follow the example of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who topped the ICS exam in 1923 but chose to fight for freedom instead of taking a government job.

Highlighting his own humble background, he said, “Like Prime Minister Modi, I too come from a poor family. The government wants to see children progressing while riding this scooty, becoming contributors to society rather than just job seekers.”

Government’s Track Record in Student Welfare

Over the past 15 years, the Madhya Pradesh government claims to have:

• Distributed 5 lakh laptops worth ₹1,300 crore

• Provided over 1 crore bicycles with an expenditure of about ₹3,000 crore

• Distributed 23,000 scooties worth ₹250 crore
