Fighter Jet Crash in Gujarat: Indian Air Force Jaguar Crashes in Jamnagar, One Pilot Rescued, Search for Second Pilot Underway


A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed late Wednesday night in Jamnagar, Gujarat, during a training mission. The aircraft exploded upon impact, scattering debris over a wide area.

Rescue and Investigation Underway

According to Jamnagar Collector Ketan Thakkar, one pilot has been rescued and hospitalized, while a search operation is ongoing for the missing second pilot. Emergency response teams, including the Air Force, fire brigade, and police, are on-site for rescue efforts. Fortunately, the crash occurred in an open field, preventing any damage to civilian areas.

Crash Details

The Jaguar aircraft crashed 12 km from Jamnagar city in Suvarda village, near Jamnagar Air Force Station. District Police Superintendent Premsukh Delu confirmed that the plane caught fire upon crashing. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined, and an official investigation is expected.
