In Murshidabad, West Bengal, a minor boy who was forced to spend his entire day in a pond due to a strange illness, as his body would start burning as soon as he came out, has finally found a ray of hope. For the past several days, Iqbal's story has been going viral on social media as he was forced to stay in  water for hours day and night . When the video of this unusual incident went viral on social media, the matter reached Anant Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries. Anant Ambani extended a helping hand and brought him to Mumbai for treatment, where the country's best doctors are now treating his strange illness.  

Why did Iqbal live in the pond?

The story of Iqbal, a resident of Murshidabad, West Bengal, may sound like something out of a movie, but it's a true story. According to family and locals, Iqbal would spend hours in the pond water, from morning until late at night. He would even eat snacks while underwater. Furthermore, he would often jump from one pond to another, spending hours underwater.

His parents said they had previously taken him to a local hospital, but doctors couldn't provide any concrete solutions. The family's financial situation wasn't strong enough to afford the expensive and lengthy treatment, so they were helpless. When a video of him went viral on social media, it brought public attention, and finally, thanks to Anant Ambani's intervention, his hopes for life were revived.

Special treatment is being done in Mumbai  

On Anant Ambani's instructions, Iqbal was airlifted from West Bengal to Mumbai. He is currently undergoing treatment at Mumbai's renowned Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. Specialist doctors are conducting a thorough physical and mental evaluation. The medical team is working to determine the underlying illness or problem that prevents Iqbal from staying out of the water for long periods of time.

Meanwhile, medical experts and dermatologists have warned that staying underwater for such a long time can be extremely dangerous for health. Continued exposure to water can lead to serious skin maceration, a condition in which the skin becomes very soft, pale, and weak, and begins to crack. Furthermore, the risk of fungal and bacterial infections increases significantly. Currently, Iqbal is receiving appropriate treatment under the supervision of doctors at a Mumbai hospital, and it is hoped that he will soon recover completely.
