A shocking incident has come to light from Mainpuri district, where a woman allegedly eloped with her nephew, sparking outrage and discussion in the local community.

The case is from Begumpur Karhal village under Kurra police station limits. According to reports, Ajit Kumar, son of Baburam and a resident of Begumpur Karhal, said his wife Suman suddenly went missing from their home late at night two days ago.

Suman is originally from Tikona village, also under Kurra police station. When she did not return, family members searched for her but later learned during inquiries that she had not left alone. Police investigation revealed that she had allegedly eloped with her nephew, identified as Harshit.

The revelation has left Ajit Kumar and his family in deep shock. Villagers say the incident has caused anger and disbelief in the area, as the accused nephew was a trusted member of the family. Residents expressed concern that such incidents erode trust in social and family relationships.

Taking the matter seriously, the family lodged a complaint at the Kurra police station. Police have registered a missing persons report and launched a search operation. According to officials, teams are conducting raids at possible locations, tracking mobile phone records, and using surveillance inputs to trace the pair.

Police said both individuals will be recovered soon, after which the full circumstances of the case will become clear.
