The Ministry of Railways has announced the launch of a national competition to design new digital watches. Participants will have to submit their designs online between May 1 and May 31, 2025. Professional college/university students and school students can participate in this. The Railways has further explained where and how these watches will be used.

The person who designs a digital clock for the railways will get a prize of Rs 5 lakh. The Railway Ministry has announced to start a national competition to design new digital clocks. These clocks will be installed at all railway stations in the country.

The ministry said, Railways has asked creative people to submit their names for this work. Participants will be able to participate in the competition in three categories. Professionals, college/university students and school students can participate in these.

Five lakhs announced 

The person whose design is selected for use in the railways will get a prize of Rs 5 lakh. Apart from this, there will be five consolation prizes of Rs 50,000 each in each of the three categories.

Participants have to submit their designs online between May 1 and May 31, 2025. According to Dilip Kumar, Executive Director (Information and Publicity), Railway Board, participants can submit multiple designs. Each entry should be accompanied by a brief note explaining the theme behind the design.

School ID card will have to be uploaded

All designs must be original and must not violate any intellectual property rights or copyrights. Students up to class 12 can participate under the school category. For this, school ID card has to be uploaded. The college category includes those who are currently students of a recognized college. All others will fall under the professional category.
