Rajasthan: The cities of Rajasthan are known for their beauty and spectacular views. The true beauty of Rajasthan lies not only in its tourist places but also in its village streets, desert towns, fairs and ancient forts. The festivals here are not just something to behold but something you can connect with. Rajasthan's colourful songs, vibrant dances, religious rituals and handicrafts make these festivals even more special. If you want to know the culture of Rajasthan closely, then visiting its fairs, savoring its food and attending craft workshops is a great way to do so.
Singing Sands Heritage Festival

This October, the 275-year-old Dundlod Fort will once again host the Singing Sands Heritage Festival. The two-day festival features folk music, storytelling, haveli tours, craft demonstrations, and horseback riding. Visitors can learn instruments like the morchang, bhapang, nagada, and khadtal. After visiting the Marwari Horse Farm and Haveli Museum, the open-air cultural performances in the evenings make the experience even more memorable.
Kumbhalgarh Festival
Every year in December, a three-day cultural festival is held at Kumbhalgarh Fort, showcasing folk music, Ghoomar and Kalbelia dances, puppet shows, and handicrafts. Artisans display textiles, jewelry, and pottery. In the evening, the fort is illuminated with a light and sound show, telling the story of Mewar in the lap of the Aravalli Mountains.
Kota-Bundi festival
The Kota-Bundi Festival, held in November, offers a closer look at Hadoti culture. It features folk music, dance, puppet shows, and artisan crafts. Tourists can experience the true essence of Rajasthan through turban-tying, traditional games, fort-and-haveli tours, and local cuisine.
Thar Festival

Barmer's Thar Festival in March offers a true glimpse of desert life. Visitors can enjoy folk music, camel races, block printing, and handicrafts, as well as participate in workshops and cultural programs. The traditional atmosphere and pleasant weather make it a truly special experience.
