Bollywood actress and businesswoman Shilpa Shetty is currently in the news regarding her restaurant Bastian. Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against this high-profile restaurant, alleging that it continued to operate late into the night and violated regulations.
What is the matter?
According to reports, Bastian continued its operations until around 1:30 AM on the night of December 11th, which is beyond the stipulated time limit. The police considered this a violation of rules and registered a case at the Cubbon Park police station. This action was taken under Section 103 of the Karnataka Police Act.
Action against managers and staff
The FIR has been filed not only against the restaurant but also against its managers and staff. The police say that the management is directly responsible for allowing the party to continue late into the night and disregarding the rules. Therefore, a case has also been registered against them.
Another pub also involved
Interestingly, it's not just Bastian, but also the Sour Berry pub that has been booked. This pub was also found to be open late into the night and violating regulations. The police have recorded statements from eight people from both establishments.
