Akhanda 2: PM Modi to Watch Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Film, Makers Plan Special Screening

South superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-talked-about film Akhanda 2 is continuing its strong run at the box office despite facing legal hurdles ahead of release. After the massive success of the first part, the sequel has also received an enthusiastic response from fans, and its early earnings reflect the growing buzz around the film.

Amid promotions, Akhanda 2 director Boyapati Shrenu made a big revelation during the film’s success meet held in Hyderabad. Addressing the audience, he announced that a special screening of Akhanda 2 has been arranged and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to watch the film. According to the director, the makers were keen to showcase the film to the Prime Minister as it strongly reflects the spirit of Sanatan Dharma, which forms the core theme of the story.

Initially, Akhanda 2 was scheduled to release alongside Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and was expected to outperform it in advance bookings. However, due to legal issues, the film’s release was postponed by a few days. Despite the delay, Akhanda 2 has emerged as a major box office success within its opening weekend and is now creating a strong impact among audiences.

Trade experts believe that the proposed special screening for the Prime Minister could further boost the film’s popularity, especially in North India. While the film is performing exceptionally well in the South, its reach among Hindi-speaking audiences has been comparatively limited so far. A high-profile screening could generate additional curiosity and help expand its footprint in the northern markets.

In terms of box office numbers, Akhanda 2 has already crossed the ₹80 crore mark worldwide within just three days of its release, signaling a powerful start. With strong word of mouth, continued promotions, and growing national attention, the film is expected to maintain its momentum in the coming days.
