Amitabh vs Sachin: Big B Holds ‘God of Cricket’ to a Draw in Viral Finger Cricket Match

The bond between Bollywood and cricket has always been special, with film stars frequently cheering for cricketers and actively participating in cricket-related events. This unique connection was on full display during the ongoing third season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), where a light-hearted yet memorable moment between two legends stole the spotlight.

The third season of the ISPL began on January 9, with the clash between teams owned by leading film personalities drawing massive attention. On January 12, teams associated with Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan faced each other. Delhi Superheroes defeated Majhi Mumbai by 23 runs. However, beyond the on-field result, it was Amitabh Bachchan’s off-field face-off with Sachin Tendulkar that grabbed headlines.

During the match, Big B and Sachin were seen playing a friendly game of finger cricket, the video of which quickly went viral on social media. The Indian Street Premier League is a T10 tennis-ball cricket tournament that started in 2024, with Salman Khan serving as its brand ambassador since 2025 and also owning the Delhi team. Several other film stars—including Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, and Ram Charan—are also associated with teams in the league.

Amitabh Bachchan later shared the finger cricket video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Playing Finger Cricket with the God of Cricket.” In the video from ISPL Season 3, both legends are seen enjoying the playful contest. The first round began with a Test-style format, where Amitabh Bachchan bowled and emerged victorious. In the second round, Big B took to batting, while Sachin Tendulkar chased a target of 13 runs.

Sachin raced to 12 runs quickly, needing just one run from three balls. However, in a dramatic and humorous twist, Amitabh Bachchan declared the match a tie, drawing cheers and laughter from those present.

The video has since received massive engagement from fans, who enjoyed seeing two icons from different worlds sharing a fun moment. Notably, Sachin Tendulkar is also a core member of the ISPL committee. Amitabh Bachchan’s team, Majhi Mumbai, had earlier reached the finals in Season 1 and won Season 2 of the league, though they fell short in the current season.
