China’s Foreign Minister to Visit Pakistan After 3 Years, To Hold Strategic Talks with Ishaq Dar

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is set to visit Islamabad on August 21, 2025, marking his first trip to Pakistan in three years. The visit is being viewed as another example of the growing high-level engagement between the two close allies.
High-Level Meetings Scheduled
According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, Wang Yi will meet top Pakistani leaders during his stay. He will also co-chair the sixth round of the China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue alongside Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The discussions will cover bilateral ties, international issues, and regional developments in detail.
Beijing’s Message: “Ironclad Friendship”
Highlighting the significance of the visit, Mao Ning described China and Pakistan as “ironclad friends” and all-weather strategic cooperative partners. She said that strategic trust and high-level exchanges are the hallmarks of the two countries’ relationship.
