Farmer ID Update: Will farmers lose access to any facilities? The state government has made a significant decision regarding the 'Farmer ID'

Nowadays, many businesses are being conducted digitally. Furthermore, we conduct all transactions, from goods to bank loans, digitally. So why are farmers lagging behind? This question arises in many people's minds. Therefore, the government has made an important decision for the state's farmers. This decision will now make it mandatory for farmers to have a 'Farmer ID.'

Farmers will now also be using digital methods, and the upcoming Agristack scheme has been expedited. Farmers are urged to register before the deadline. This scheme was launched to simplify the agricultural sector in Maharashtra.

This initiative, which will begin on November 14, 2024, will provide every farmer with a unique 'Farmer ID.' This will provide information on farmers' land, crops, subsidies, insurance, and various other government schemes on a single digital platform. This will provide the government with accurate data when formulating future agricultural policies. The deadline for this will be May 20, 2026.

The state's Agriculture Department has implemented this important decision effective April 15, 2025. A Farmer ID is now mandatory for various agricultural schemes. This ID is essential for crop insurance, subsidies, seeds, fertilizers, and medicines. Therefore, it has been warned that farmers who do not have this ID may face difficulties in availing the benefits of government schemes in the future.

Registering for a Kisan ID is very important. Farmers can complete this process by visiting their nearest Service Facilitation Center. Registration can also be done online on the AgriStack portal. All you need is your Aadhaar card, mobile number, and land-related documents.
