Mouni Roy said, "There was no casting couch, but there was some misbehavior. I was 21-22 years old and went to someone's office, where people were inside and a story was being narrated. Suddenly, there was a scene where a girl faints and falls into a swimming pool. The hero pulls her out and gives her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and she regains consciousness. The man literally grabbed my face and made me perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. For that moment, I couldn't understand what was happening to me. I started shaking and ran downstairs. This thing haunted me for a long time." However, Mouni did not reveal whether she was mistreated by any actor, filmmaker, or casting director.

Mouni Roy began her acting career at the age of 19 with the show "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi." She subsequently captivated audiences with roles in shows like "Kasturi," "Devon Ke Dev Mahadev," "Naagin," and "Meera in Junoon - Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq." She then made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with Akshay Kumar's film "Gold," and later starred in "Romeo Akbar Walter," "Made in China," and "Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva." As for her upcoming projects, she will soon be seen in the romantic comedy "Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai." Directed by David Dhawan, the film also stars Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in 2026.
