The effects of the Iran-US war are now clearly visible in India. On one hand, there is the impact of the war and on the other hand, as soon as the assembly elections in five states were over, gas companies have given such a blow of inflation to the common citizens that it will be difficult to recover from it. Yes, today, from May 1, there has been a huge jump in the prices of commercial gas cylinders, which has increased the tension of hotel and restaurant owners. However, the prices of household kitchen items have not increased.
A huge hike of ₹993 in the price of commercial cylinders:
With the beginning of the month of May, consumers of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have got a big shock this morning. According to the new rates released by Indian Oil, there has been a huge hike of ₹993 in the price of commercial cylinders in Delhi. After this change, the cylinder will now be available in Delhi for ₹3,071.50 instead of ₹2,078.50. Similarly, there has been a huge hike in the prices in Mumbai and Kolkata as well. This new rate has come into effect across the country from today itself.
Domestic gas cylinder prices remain unchanged.
It's a matter of relief that the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged in Delhi. Domestic cylinders are still available at the old rate of ₹913. This is comforting news for the middle class.
This is the third consecutive price increase
this year. Commercial cylinder rates have been revised. The first increase was a ₹144 increase on March 7th. This was followed by another ₹200 increase on April 1st, and now, a massive ₹993 increase has been announced.
