LPG Subsidy New Rule: There's already a lot of trouble going on across the country regarding gas cylinders. Those with connections still receive them within a set timeframe, but those without connections and buying them from vendors in black are now unable to get them, and when they do, they get them at double or quadruple the price. What is the new rule?
According to the new government rule, gas cylinder consumers will now be required to complete e-KYC to receive subsidies. Those who do not have e-KYC will have their subsidy stopped. The deadline for completing e-KYC is also June 30th.

Who won't receive the subsidy?
Customers whose gas accounts aren't linked to Aadhaar won't receive the subsidy. Furthermore, e-KYC is required by June 30th, so those with incomplete e-KYC will not receive the subsidy.

How to complete e-KYC?
To complete e-KYC, first go to your gas connection app, such as IndianOil One or HP Pay, on your mobile. Once logged in, click on re-KYC. Then, scan your face with your mobile camera. By doing this, UIDAI matches your face and completes your e-KYC process instantly, without any paperwork.

What if you can't complete your e-KYC online?
If you can't complete your e-KYC online, visit a gas distributor or gas agency near you. Bring your Aadhaar card, gas connection passbook, and mobile phone. An employee will take your fingerprint and your e-KYC will be completed instantly.
