Fuel prices across India remained unchanged on August 17, even as oil prices fell last week after a fresh round of US-Iran war fueled hopes that shipping through the Strait of Hormuz would resume.
Petrol and diesel prices have remained stable since May 25, when state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) raised petrol prices by ₹2.61 per litre and diesel by ₹2.71 per litre.
In Delhi, petrol prices remain above ₹100 per liter at ₹102.12, while diesel is selling at ₹95.20 per liter. Petrol prices in Mumbai also remain above ₹110, with petrol selling at ₹111.21 per liter and diesel at ₹99.82 per liter, slightly higher than previous prices.
