PM Shri Heli Tourism Service Makes Visiting Religious Sites in Madhya Pradesh Easier

The PM Shri Heli Tourism service has officially launched in Madhya Pradesh, making travel across the state quicker, smoother, and far more enjoyable. This initiative is being hailed as a major step forward for Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector. It is expected to significantly boost tourism while offering great convenience to visitors, especially devotees heading to prominent religious destinations. Along with religious sites, the heli service will also improve access to several key tourist attractions across the state.

When planning a trip within Madhya Pradesh, one common challenge is the long travel time—moving from one destination to another often takes two to three hours by road, which can be tiring and limits the overall experience. With the new heli-tourism service, travel time will reduce drastically, and passengers will also get to enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the region. Here are the major details of the service.

Where is the service available?
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has launched helicopter connectivity for several sectors:

• Eco-tourism: Bhopal, Pachmarhi, and Madai
• Wildlife tourism: Jabalpur, Kanha, and Bandhavgarh
• Religious tourism: Indore, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar
Note: Heli services in these routes operate five days a week, except on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

For heritage tourism, helicopter services run six days a week, connecting:
• Bhopal
• Rewa
• Satna
• Singrauli
• Khajuraho

What are the ticket prices?
Each helicopter can accommodate up to six passengers. Joyrides are also available in Pachmarhi from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm, priced at Rs 2,000. Depending on the distance, ticket prices range from:
• Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000
