Delhi is all set to witness a grand celebration at the historic Red Fort on November 1st, as the city marks its Foundation Day with a vibrant festival full of food, culture, and performances. This year’s event will be even more special, as it also commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Delhi government is hosting the festival, promising visitors a memorable experience filled with flavors from across India.
The celebration will not just be about Delhi—it will also honor the foundation days of nine other states, including Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat, along with the Union Territories of Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Puducherry, and Chandigarh. This blend of states ensures that the event becomes a true reflection of India’s cultural and culinary diversity.
One of the key attractions will be the elaborate food stalls offering traditional delicacies from different regions. From Punjab’s makki di roti and sarson da saag to Kerala’s flavorful appam and stew, visitors will get a chance to taste authentic dishes representing the essence of each state.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, a spectacular projection mapping show will light up the Red Fort, paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — the Iron Man of India. The show aims to create a visually stunning and patriotic experience for all visitors.
What makes the festival even more appealing is that entry is completely free. Visitors can enjoy not only the wide range of regional cuisines but also cultural performances, musical shows, and light displays that will showcase India’s unity in diversity.
