Uttar Pradesh is rapidly expanding its global trade footprint, with strong growth in exports to BRICS countries. The state government has reported that total exports to BRICS member and partner nations have crossed US$5.36 billion (around ₹50,000 crore) in the 2025–26 financial year, highlighting its growing role in international trade.

The announcement was made during the BRICS MSME Forum held in Agra, where officials and representatives from member and partner countries discussed trade, technology, and investment opportunities.

Strong Export Growth Across BRICS Markets

According to government data, Uttar Pradesh’s exports are distributed as follows:

• US$3.938 billion worth of goods exported to BRICS member countries

• US$1.429 billion exported to BRICS partner nations

The state exports a wide range of products, including machinery, textiles, leather goods, carpets, and precious stones.

MSMEs Driving Uttar Pradesh’s Economy

Uttar Pradesh’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector continues to be a major engine of economic growth and employment.

• Around 96 lakh MSME units operate in the state

• These units provide employment to approximately 1.65 crore people
