After Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of large-scale voter fraud in Haryana, the BJP sharply countered his remarks. Rahul Gandhi, in a press conference on Wednesday, alleged that around 2.5 million votes were “stolen” during the Haryana Assembly elections. Responding to the charges, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said Rahul Gandhi was attempting to “provoke Gen Z” with baseless claims to stay politically relevant.

Rijiju dismissed Rahul’s allegations as an effort to divert attention from his failures. “He keeps saying he’ll drop a hydrogen bomb, but it never explodes. Rahul Gandhi talks nonsense just to grab headlines,” he said.

Taking a jibe at the Congress leader, Rijiju recalled, “In the last session, he wore a woman’s name on his T-shirt, and later that woman scolded him. Now, just two days before polling in Bihar, he’s suddenly talking about Haryana. Because he knows there’s nothing left for him in Bihar, he’s creating a fake story to stay in the news.”

Rijiju further said that Rahul Gandhi often refers to foreign personalities for inspiration but wastes people’s time with irrelevant remarks. “He mentioned a foreign woman again today. He travels abroad and returns with these so-called inspirations. But when opinion polls go against him, he abuses them. When they favor him, he praises them,” the minister added.

Continuing his criticism, Rijiju mocked Rahul’s frequent claims of having an “atom bomb” revelation. “He always says he’ll drop a bombshell, but why does his atom bomb never explode? Even senior Congress leaders like Kumari Selja and Rao have raised issues of infighting in Haryana. Many Congress workers admit they can’t win as long as Rahul remains their leader,” Rijiju stated.

Defending the BJP, Rijiju said the Election Commission would respond to Congress’s allegations through the proper process. “We are speaking only because they’ve accused the BJP and our leaders. Our party works hard, which is why we win elections. Many of us spend months away from home campaigning. The Congress, instead of working, is busy spreading lies,” he concluded.
