Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, GOC-in-C of the Western Command, has warned Pakistan that if terrorist attacks in India continue, Operation Sindoor 2.0 will be launched. He said the action will be more lethal than the last one unless Pakistan changes its thinking.
General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Western Command, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, has warned Pakistan that if Pakistan continues with terrorist attacks in India, an even more lethal 'Operation Sindoor 2.0' will be launched. He said that India's response next time will be even more dangerous than the number of airbases and military posts destroyed during Operation Sindoor
He said that unless Pakistan changes its thinking, our operation will become even more lethal. Lieutenant General Katiyar said that in Operation Sindoor 1.0, we destroyed its airbases and posts, but if it tries something again, then whatever action we take this time will be more lethal than the last time.
Indian Army ready to thwart any attack
Addressing a rally of veterans organized to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 1965 India-Pakistan War, Lieutenant General Katiyar said that Operation Sindoor was successful due to the cooperation of the administration, veterans, and local people. He said that terrorists killed innocent civilians in the Pahalgam attack. The Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. He assured the public that the Indian Army is prepared to thwart future attacks by the neighboring country.
We have to be alert
He said that Pakistan will try to attack us again; they always try attacks like Pahalgam, and we have to remain vigilant. I assure you that the Indian Army is ready to thwart any of Pakistan's nefarious designs. Recalling the 1965 war, he said that the reason for Pakistan's defeat was that they underestimated the patriotism of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Lieutenant General Manoj Katiyar said that by defeating Pakistan in the 1965 war, we won the trust of the people of the country, and that trust remains intact today. Pakistan's goal was to capture Jammu and Kashmir. Approximately 10,000 Razakars trained by the Pakistani army infiltrated. But they miscalculated the patriotism of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. With the help of the public, the Indian Army drove them out.
Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
It should be noted that 26 innocent people lost their lives in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, 2025. In response, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. This was a well-planned and precise operation, destroying terrorist infrastructure with minimal damage. Special attention was paid to civilian safety and restraint was exercised during this operation.
In response, Pakistan launched drone and UCAV (unmanned combat aircraft) attacks on Indian air bases and military bases. However, India's robust air defense system thwarted these attacks.
