The woman herself shared this video on her x's account, which has now spread like wildfire on social media. In the video, she shares her pain about how ordinary people work hard day and night to earn enough money to eat at a nice place with their family, only to be treated badly there, leaving them heartbroken. 

Taj Hotel manager teaches woman 'manners'

The woman describes her anger in the video. She had come to the Taj Hotel with her sister for Diwali dinner. Suddenly, the Taj manager interrupted her, saying that a guest was having an issue with her sitting position. The woman then showed in the video that she was sitting cross-legged, which a customer at the Taj did not like and complained to the manager.

The manager told the woman that this was a fine dining establishment catering to wealthy people, so she should sit properly and with her feet down. The woman also explained that she had arrived wearing Kolhapuri chappals, but the manager asked her to wear closed shoes.

'Taj Hotel disappointed'

The woman further stated in her video that "these remarks reek of wealth, class, and culture." She added that she earns her living through hard work and is living off her own money, so why would anyone have a problem with that? She added that the Taj Hotel has left her "deeply disappointed."

Sharing the video, she wrote in the caption, "An ordinary person who works hard, earns money, and comes to the Taj Hotel with their dignity intact, still faces humiliation and insult in this country. What's my fault? Just that I sat in a 'regular Padmasana' style? Is it my fault that the Taj is teaching me how to sit and what to do?"

Now, netizens have also expressed their anger over this video. One wrote, "The British left, but they left behind their Anglicism." Another commented, "If the guest was bothered, he should have left the hotel himself." However, some are also writing about how "every place has certain rules that shouldn't be broken."
