IT Raid In Rajasthan: The Income Tax Department conducted a major raid on the Kanha Restaurant in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, this morning (Wednesday). The department's Investigation Wing conducted simultaneous raids at 26 locations in six cities of Rajasthan and in Mumbai.

Teams in action mode from 7 am

According to reports, Income Tax Department teams raided hotel operators and business establishments at 7 a.m. today (Wednesday). Although the inclement weather and rain in parts of Rajasthan since morning caused a slight delay in the Income Tax Department teams reaching the designated restaurant locations, maintaining the secrecy of the operation ensured no one had time to react and the raids commenced.

There was chaos at 33 locations

It's worth noting that the Kanha Group has been under the Income Tax Department's radar for quite some time. They'd been receiving reports of tax evasion from the group for a long time. Consequently, the department investigated the Kanha restaurant before conducting the raid. Following this, on Wednesday, the department conducted the raid at a total of 33 locations of the Kanha Group. This mega raid targeted several cities in Rajasthan and Mumbai, including 26 in Jaipur, two in Udaipur, one in Kota, one in Sriganganagar, one in Karauli, one in Hindaun, and one in Mumbai.

Documents of restaurant operators are being checked

Currently, Income Tax Department teams are thoroughly examining the restaurant owners' financial documents, computer hard drives, and bank accounts. The raids involve a large number of security forces and hundreds of department employees.
