Kidney Failure Symptoms: Not only pain in the legs, recognize the deteriorating condition of the kidney from these signs too

Kidney Failure Symptoms: Kidney is an important organ that keeps the body healthy, which cleans the blood and removes toxins and excess water. But when it does not function properly, the initial signs appear very mild, which people often ignore. If not identified in time, it can take the form of kidney failure

Kidneys are such organs in our body that keep on cleaning the blood every moment and removing toxic elements and excess water. Not only this, they also control blood pressure by making hormones and keep the bones strong. But when the functioning of the kidneys starts getting affected, the body slowly starts getting poisoned from inside. Initially its symptoms are like normal fatigue or mild swelling, which people often ignore considering them to be minor problems. This negligence can become the reason for a dangerous condition like kidney failure. Therefore, it is important that the changes in the body are recognized in time.

Pain or swelling in the feet and ankles

When the kidneys are unable to fully filter, water and sodium cannot be removed from the body. These fluids accumulate in the lower parts such as the legs and ankles, causing swelling and pain. This swelling may be mild in the beginning, but can gradually lead to heaviness and difficulty in walking. If you notice stiffness or swelling in the legs without any injury or reason, do not take it lightly.

Constant feeling of tiredness

If you are always feeling tired, lazy or weak even without doing much work, then this can also be a sign of kidney failure. Bad kidneys are unable to make a special hormone erythropoietin  , which helps in making blood cells in the body. Due to this, there is anemia in the body due to which the body parts do not get enough oxygen. Result – the person feels tired even after sleeping repeatedly.

Itching and discoloration of the skin

If there is constant itching in the body or the skin starts feeling dry and lifeless, then this is also an alert. When the kidneys fail, the toxins accumulated in the blood do not get out of the body and start accumulating under the skin. Due to this, the skin often starts itching, burning or turns yellow-brown. Sometimes this is not just a sign of skin problem but also of weakening of the kidneys.

Change in urination habits

The biggest sign of kidney problems is a change in urination habits. This includes frequent urination at night, too little or too much urination, foamy urine (indicating protein leakage), dark colour or blood visible. All these signs indicate that the kidneys are not able to filter the blood properly. In such a situation, it is important to consult a doctor immediately.

Shortness of breath or trouble breathing

In case of kidney failure, water cannot come out of the body, due to which fluid starts accumulating around the lungs and breathing becomes difficult. Lack of oxygen due to weak hemoglobin also causes shortness of breath. If you start breathing frequently while climbing stairs or doing light work, then consider it a warning of kidneys and not just lungs.
