President Draupadi Murmu Kerala Visit: President Draupadi Murmu arrived in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday, October 21, on a four-day visit to Kerala. The President will be in Pathanamthitta today for darshan and aarti at the Lord Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala.

Indian President Draupadi Murmu is on a visit to Kerala. A major accident was narrowly avoided. The helipad at the Pramadam Stadium in Pathanamthitta, where her helicopter landed, appeared to have caved in slightly. It appeared as if the weight of the Air Force helicopter had caused a portion of the helipad to collapse. However, no major incident occurred. Police and fire department personnel deployed at the scene were able to pull the helicopter out of the sunken area. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the helicopter being pushed out.

The helipad where the accident occurred is new. These craters were formed after the helicopter landed. A senior police officer said the stadium was chosen as the last-minute landing site, and the helipad was constructed there late Tuesday night. The plane was originally planned to land at Nilakkal, near Pamba, but bad weather forced the decision to land here.

He said that the concrete had not completely set, so when the helicopter landed, the helipad could not bear its weight and the wheels created potholes.

President Murmu arrived in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on October 21st. She plans to visit the Sabarimala Temple today. She will then unveil the statue of former President K.R. Narayanan at the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. She will also inaugurate the Mahasamadhi Centenary celebrations of Sri Narayana Guru at the Sivagiri Mutt in Varkala.

The President will also attend the closing ceremony of the 75th anniversary celebrations of St. Thomas College in Pala, Kottayam district. She will also attend the centenary celebrations of St. Teresa's College in Ernakulam on October 24, concluding her visit to Kerala.
