Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Russia. PM Modi has arrived in Russia to attend the 16th BRICS Summit being held in Kazan, Russia. PM Modi was given a grand welcome in Kazan, and Russian citizens sang Krishna bhajans in his honor. He was also warmly welcomed by Tatarstan chief Rustam Minnikhanov.

India, Russia, and China together initiated BRICS to reduce the influence of America on the world's economic policies. With the gradual expansion of BRICS, it is believed that Russia and China want to create an alliance through BRICS that can compete with NATO and G7.
