America stands with Ukraine and the international community… Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on his visit to Kyiv.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who arrived in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv a few hours after the Russian attack, said that America stands with Ukraine. Shortly before Austin reached the capital Kyiv, Russia had carried out a series of drone attacks there. His visit was unannounced.

Austin has made this visit in view of repeated demands by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for assistance from Western countries. It is expected that he may announce some major assistance during this visit.

Giving information about his visit, Austin wrote on his social media account that my fourth visit to Ukraine makes it clear that America stands with the international community and Ukraine.

Ukraine is finding it difficult to stop Russia's attack. Slowly but surely, Russia is capturing many cities, towns, and villages of Ukraine in this war, due to which the Ukrainian army is facing losses. To stop this, Ukrainian President Zelensky has made a Victory Plan.

Which includes using long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russia. Zelensky wants Western countries to support his so-called Victory Plan, especially the US. Western countries are already against this plan because they feel that if this is done, Russia will respond more strongly.

Expectations from Austin's visit

President Zelensky hopes that Secretary of State Austin's visit will support his Victory Plan. The Victory Plan is a plan under which Ukraine is going to attack Russia.

Zelensky said in a video message ahead of Austin's visit that his Victory Plan had the support of France, Lithuania, Nordic countries, and the European Union.

Although Zelensky did not say anything clearly about America, he said that he had received a positive message from America. It is difficult for Ukraine to start the Victory Plan without the support of America because America alone is the biggest supporter of Ukraine. However, there are still 2 weeks left for the proposed presidential election in America, and no decision is expected on the Victory Plan before that.

More than 100 drone attacks

Ivan Fedorov, the governor of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia state, said seven people were injured and heavy damage was caused to infrastructure, including more than 30 residential buildings, in a Russian missile attack on the city. Ukraine's air force said Russia fired three missiles and more than 100 drones at Ukraine overnight from Sunday to Monday.
