Indori Poha: How to make Tasty Poha of Indore, note the recipe

Indori Poha is a popular breakfast dish from the city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is a flavorful and filling dish made from flattened rice (poha) and is often served with jalebi, sev, and lemon slices. Here's how you can make tasty Indori Poha at home:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups thick poha (flattened rice)
- 1 large potato, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 2-3 green chillies, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2-3 cups water
For Serving:
- Sev
- Jalebi
- Lemon slices
Instructions:

Rinse the poha in water for a few seconds and then drain the water completely. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

In a pan, heat oil over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Add chopped onions and green chillies and saute until the onions turn translucent.

Add diced potatoes, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and saute for a few minutes.

Add water to the pan and let the mixture come to a boil.

Once the water starts boiling, add the soaked poha to the pan. Mix well.

Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-7 minutes over low heat.

After 5-7 minutes, remove the lid and add roasted peanuts, chopped coriander leaves, and lemon juice to the pan. Mix well.

Cover the pan again and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Once the poha is cooked, turn off the heat.
