Asian Games: Neha Thakur gives silver medal to India on the third day
India's medal tally in the Hangzhou Asian Games has now increased to 12. India's medal account was opened today by Neha Thakur, who won a silver medal in the women's dinghy sailing event. This is India's first medal on the third day of the Asian Games i.e. today and 12th overall.
By the second day, India had won 11 medals including 2 gold. In sailing, Neha Thakur was successful in winning the silver medal after 11 races. The Indian Olympic Association has congratulated Neha on winning the medal. Neha Thakur of Bhopal scored a total of 27 points in 11 races in the girls' dinghy event. With this she was successful in getting the silver medal.
While Thailand's Nopasorn Khunboonjan won the gold medal and Singapore's Keira Marie Carlyle won the bronze medal. Today, India's women's squash team defeated Pakistan 3-0. Tanvi Khanna, Joshna Chinappa and Anahat Singh performed brilliantly in the women's Indian squash team.
