According to Ghaziabad Trans Hindon DCP Nimish Patil, on Thursday evening, some miscreants near Surya Nagar Chowki spread the rumor that this was a case of gang rape. As soon as the rumor spread, the crowd became violent and started vandalizing the junk shop as well as the rickshaws parked nearby. Many rickshaws were set on fire. When the situation worsened, the crowd blocked the road and the police had to resort to lathicharge to control the crowd.

According to DCP Nimish Patil, the police swung into action as soon as they received information about the rape of a minor. The accused Faizan, who is a scrap dealer, has been arrested. The victim said in her statement that this person named Faizan entered her house, beat her, made her inhale intoxicants, and raped her. But in this case, a rumor of gang rape was spread in the evening, which turned the atmosphere into a riot. The police are now searching for the people who spread the rumor.

The case is of Braj Vihar of Link Road police station area. Here the victim girl was alone in the house. Faizan works as a scrap dealer in her neighborhood. Faizan entered the girl's house after getting the chance. He assaulted the girl and raped her. It is alleged that Faizan committed the rape after the girl fainted. When the family came to know about the incident, they complained to the police.

Based on the statement of the girl and her family, the police registered a case and arrested the accused Faizan. According to the police, the victim and her family had accused Faizan of assault and rape. A case was immediately registered on their complaint and the accused was arrested.

Vandalism and arson after police action

After the police action, a crowd of people gathered. Women were also included in this. The girl's aunt in the crowd called the rape incident a gang rape. Hindu organizations started protesting for the arrest of the remaining accused, accusing them of gang rape. Meanwhile, the protest turned violent. The miscreants in the crowd vandalized a junk shop and vehicles. The e-rickshaw parked outside was set on fire.

After this, the crowd started creating a ruckus at the Suryanagar police station with posters in their hands. They were demanding the death penalty for the accused. The police lathi-charged and drove away the people creating a ruckus.
