Mohammad Azharuddin hit 9 sixes in a T20 match, and won the match by scoring runs at a strike rate of nearly 200 runs in 47 balls!

This 30-year-old Azharuddin played his innings in the opening match of KCL i.e. Kerala Cricket League.

The opening match of KCL was played on 2 September between Thrissur Titans and Alleppey Ripples. In this match, the team of Thrissur batted first. Playing first, they scored 161 runs in 20 overs. Akshay Manohar scored the highest 57 runs from Thrissur. Now Alleppey Ripples had a target of 162 runs, which they won by 5 wickets with 9 balls to spare.

Mohammad Azharuddin was the captain of Alleppey Ripples. So, he had a greater responsibility to make the team win, which he lived up to. While chasing the target, Alleppey Ripples lost 2 wickets for just 21 runs. But, after that, captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who came in as an opener, attacked.
