Haryana Election Result: Voting is going on in Haryana assembly elections and voting is taking place on all 90 assembly seats. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the public regarding voting and queues are seen outside the polling booths since morning. Let us tell you that there is a direct contest between Congress and BJP in Haryana in the elections and the fate of 1031 candidates is to be decided today. The election results will come on October 8, but even before that the race for CM and rhetoric has intensified in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Former Haryana CM and Union Minister Manohar Lal said that the CM face has been announced, on which Anil Vij said that whoever the party wants will be the CM.

CM face has been declared: Manohar Lal Khattar

Former Haryana Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar targeted Congress after casting his vote in Karnal and claimed that BJP is going to form the government for the third time. He said, 'They (Congress) have not been able to declare their chief ministerial candidate till now, we have declared the chief ministerial candidate. Corruption was rampant during their (Congress) time. Industrial development has taken place in Haryana in the last 10 years, everyone has got jobs.' Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar claimed that there is internal strife in Congress. He said that there is an atmosphere of disappointment in the Congress camp, there is anarchy there. When asked about BJP leader Ashok Tanwar's return to Congress two days before the elections, Khattar said that Tanwar has revived the politics of 'Aaya Ram Gaya Ram'.

If the party wishes, the next meeting will be held at CM residence: Vij

Anil Vij, BJP candidate from Ambala Cantt assembly constituency and former state minister, has claimed that once again BJP will form the government and if the party wants, he will become the Chief Minister. He said, 'BJP will form the government and the Chief Minister will be the one whom the party wants. If the party wants me, then the next meeting will be with you at the Chief Minister's residence. I am the most senior leader.' However, this is not the first time that Anil Vij has claimed to become the CM.

No chance in the deputy cabinet, how will Anil Vij become CM now? How powerful is he in Haryana politics

BJP has declared Nayab Singh Saini as CM face

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made Nayab Singh Saini the face for the post of Chief Minister in Haryana. When the BJP came to power in Haryana for the first time on its own in 2014, Anil Vij, Ram Bilas Sharma and some other leaders were ahead in the race for the post of Chief Minister, but the party made Manohar Lal Khattar, who became an MLA for the first time at that time, the Chief Minister. In March this year, Manohar Lal Khattar and his cabinet resigned after the alliance with JJP broke. Then Anil Vij was said to be angry that the party decided to remove Manohar Lal Khattar from the post of Chief Minister and replace him with Nayab Singh Saini, but he was not informed about this.

How has Anil Vij's political career been?

Anil Vij has been active in politics since his college days and joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). In 1970, he became the general secretary of the ABVP and later worked actively with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bharat Vikas Parishad (BMS) and other such organisations. He got a job in the State Bank of India (SBI) in 1974. But, when Sushma Swaraj was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1990, the Ambala Cantt seat fell vacant. Anil Vij was then asked by the BJP to resign from his job and contest the by-election.

Anil Vij contested the election and won. In 1991, he became the state president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. In the 1991 assembly elections, BJP gave ticket to Anik Kumar instead of Anil Vij and the party had to face defeat. In the 1996 elections, Anil Vij contested as an independent and won. He also won the 2000 assembly elections as an independent candidate. Anil Vij faced defeat in the 2005 elections. In the 2009 elections, he contested on a BJP ticket from Ambala Cantt seat and won and reached the assembly. After this, Anil Vij also won on a BJP ticket in the 2014 and 2019 elections.
