A filmy-style theft has taken place in a museum located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. A thief came to this museum with a ticket and hid under the stairs when the museum was closing. When it got dark, this thief collected goods worth about 15 crore rupees and tried to jump over the wall to escape. But this wall was about 25 feet high, so while jumping he fell inside the campus and got injured. In the morning when the museum opened, this thief was found in an injured state. The museum workers immediately called the Shyamala Hills police station and handed him over to them.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and when they questioned the thief, they were also surprised by what he revealed. This thief has identified himself as Vinod, a resident of Bihar state. He said that he had come to Bhopal four months ago to prepare for the NEET exam. At the same time, he came to visit the museum with his friend and after seeing the low security arrangements here, he planned to steal. For this crime, he was doing recce in the museum for several days to commit the theft.

In this sequence, he entered the museum on Sunday evening with a ticket and when the museum was closing, he hid under the stairs. Since the museum remains closed on Monday, he calmly collected the valuables kept in the museum when it was light on Monday morning and came out to escape. Now the problem was that there was a 25 feet high wall outside. He tried to climb it several times but in this attempt, he fell and got badly injured. When the museum was opened on Tuesday morning, this thief was found lying near the wall in an injured state. The police took the thief into custody and admitted him to the hospital.

This museum of the state government houses gold, silver, and other metal coins, statues, and other mixed metal items from the Gupta period to the Mughal period. The value of these items is in crores. The thief had stolen a lot of these items. According to the museum management, the value of the items stolen by the thief could be around Rs 15 crore. It was a good thing that the thief could not jump over the wall, otherwise the priceless heritage kept in this museum would have been stolen. Police said that the thief had suffered serious injuries on his legs. A big bag has been found with him. All the items stolen from the museum were kept in this bag. Police have also recovered tools used for breaking the lock and theft from the accused's bag.
