Story of Maa Kushmanda

Then Maa Kushmanda created the universe with her that humour (smiling smile). That's why they are also called Adishakti of the universe. She was named Kushmanda because of the creation of the universe through a soft laugh.
Maa Kushmanda has so much power that she can live even in the circle of the Sun. Their abode is inside the solar system. Only Maa Kushmanda has the ability to live inside the sun world and all ten directions are illuminated by her radiance. It is said that due to her effulgence, all the objects and beings of the universe pervade the effulgence. Worshipping Goddess Kushmanda with a true heart receives the blessings of the Goddess.
