But, the kind of game America's 20-year-old opener Saiteeja Mukkalla has shown on his T20 debut after ODI cricket, suggests this. On his T20 debut for the USA, Saiteeja played such an innings that made him the hero of the victory. In his debut against Canada, he started his T20 career with a brilliant half-century.

In the match played on 27th August, America batted first and scored 168 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. 20-year-old Saiteja played a big role in taking America to this score. He opened the innings in his first T20 match along with the team captain Monank Patel. Captain Monank got out after scoring just 16 runs but he stood firm at one end. And he played his first match as if he was a very experienced player.

Saiteja thrashed almost every bowler in Canada during his batting. He wrote a strong script for his entry into T20 International. Saiteja faced just 27 balls and scored 52 runs at a strike rate of 192.59, which included 8 fours and 1 six.

Based on Saiteeja's fast-paced half-century innings on his debut in T20 International, USA set a target of 169 runs for Canada to win, which they failed to achieve. While chasing this target, the Canadian team could score only 148 runs for 7 wickets. USA defeated Canada by 20 runs, in which 20-year-old Saiteeja Mukkalla became the Player of the Match.

Before making a blast on his T20 International debut, Saiteeja Mukkallam has also done wonders for the USA in ODIs. In ODIs, he has scored 381 runs in 17 innings of 17 matches with 1 century and 1 half-century.
