There are many temples of Lord Shiva all over the world and some or other mystery is attached to each temple. Today we are going to tell you about one such mysterious temple based on the information given by our astrologer expert DrRadhakant Vats.
This temple is in Andhra Pradesh and the special thing is that the weight of this huge temple is only on a pillar which is hanging in the air. Although there are other pillars in this temple, that one pillar hanging in the air contains many secrets and miracles. Let us know about this in detail.
- There is a temple named Lepakshi of Lord Shiva in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Virbhadra, the ferocious and ferocious form of Lord Shiva, is enshrined in this temple. For this reason, this temple is also called the Veerbhadra temple. This temple has also become famous all over the world by the name Hanging Pillar Temple.
- There are 70 pillars in this temple, but the centre of attraction of this temple is the pillar hanging in the air on which the entire weight of the temple is based. This pillar hanging in the air present in the temple is considered Akash Stambh. This pole is raised about half an inch above the ground.
- There is a belief about this temple that if a cloth is removed from under this pillar hanging in the air, then happiness-prosperity always remains in that person's house. There is also a legend behind the pillar hanging in the air. Lord Veerbhadra is believed to have originated after the sacrifice of Daksha Prajapati.
- When Mahadev sent Virbhadra from his hair after the self-immolation of Mata Sati to kill Daksh Prajapati. Then after the slaying of Daksha, the anger of Lord Virbhadra was not taking the name of pacification. Everyone from the underworld to the sky was horrified by his roar.
- Then Lord Shiva ordered him to do penance to calm his anger. After which it is said that at the same place where the Lepakshi temple is today, Lord Virbhadra did penance and got control over his anger. It is believed that the pillar hanging in the air in this temple is due to the anger of Lord Virbhadra.
- Lord Virbhadra had started penance in the form of anger, after which the place started trembling due to the heat of the fire of his anger. For this reason, whatever was built at that place would start trembling and the construction of the temple would remain incomplete. In such a situation, Virupanna and Viranna, who used to be the kings of Vijayanagara, used a trick.
- He constructed this temple in such a way that the pillar which is the base of the temple started hanging in the air and the construction of the temple was completed. It is believed that the day this pillar touches the ground, the anger of Lord Shiva's Virbhadra form will rekindle and the destruction of the universe is sure on that day.
